Directions to Carminish House

Travelling out of Stornoway town centre passing the Co-op superstore take the first turning to your left at the roundabout and follow the main road for approximately 34 miles until you reach Tarbert Harris. Continue to follow the main road south past Tarbert township for approximately 20 miles until you reach Leverburgh, travelling through the village take the turning to your right towards the ferry terminal and take the first turn to your left onto Ferry Road. Turn to your left at the end of the roadway where you will see the signpost for Carminish House, follow this road on reaching the cattlegrid Carminish House is the first on your left.

By sea :-
There are three possible routes by sea:

1. Ullapool to Stornoway (60 miles north of Carminish).
2. Skye to Tarbert (20 miles north of Carminish)
3. Berneray to Leverburgh (½ mile north of Carminish)

Cars & Buses
A reliable bus service operates on all of the islands, and rental cars are available from Stornoway.

You can, of course, drive over in your own car using any of the car ferries above.
